Kids Health First Aid Tips

Some kids when it comes to scraped knees, bumps and bruises need more care then others. Some kids tend to stand up and wipe themselves off even if they are gushing blood, while other children have a complete melt down over the smallest paper cut. It can be a bit tough when it comes to basic first aid for your kids. Here are a few tips that may help get the child’s mind off of their pain and at least distract them a bit so you can get them cleaned up.

Novelty Band-Aids can be a great way to get your child’s mind off of their injury. Cuts and scrapes always seem to feel better with a band-aid no it. You have such a great assortment of band-aids from fairies to bacon and pickles. Getting to pick out their new personal body sticker not only will keep their wound clean but will keep their mind on something else while you get a chance to clean them up with soap and water.

For kids who are scared of having their abrasions cleaned because it stings you can now get Bactine,  which is formulated to be a painless antiseptic. You can always fall back on hydrogen peroxide to help clean things out, and most kids love how it bubbles. It is very important to get their cuts cleaned up.

If you need an icepack there are a number of reusable icepacks which are geared towards kids. Including fun characters like Spiderman, Hello Kitty, and Elmo. It is a great way to get a cold pack on them which they may use.
